The Space Coast woke early Saturday to the familiar rumble that has come to define Brevard County, as another rocket cleared the pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station and arced out over the Atlantic. The launch marked another step in what has become a record-setting year for cadence along Florida's eastern shoreline.

Crowds gathered at the usual vantage points — Jetty Park, the Cocoa Beach Pier and the causeways spanning the Indian River — many of them families who have made launch-watching a weekend ritual. Local tourism officials say the steady drumbeat of launches continues to draw visitors and fuel hotel bookings across the county.

County emergency managers reminded residents that road closures along the barrier island remain common on launch mornings and urged spectators to arrive early and pack out their trash to protect the shoreline.
